Thanksgiving dinner is about family, friends, and napping on the couch watching the big game. It’s also about serving up delicious cocktails to complement your meal. Here are 8 easy-to-make Thanksgiving cocktails sure to please all your guests this year.

Before You Carve Your Turkey: Easy Cocktails to Serve at Pre-Dinner Happy Hour

Pre-dinner cocktails are commonly known as aperitifs, and are designed to stimulate the appetite while encouraging diners to unwind and relax before they sit down to the meal. Note that these cocktails require annisette, a liqueur that strongly resembles black licorice, or Ramazzotti Aperitivo Rosato, with its light floral and citrusy undertones.

  1. Anisette Martini


  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 0.5 ounces of anisette
  • 1 oz Dry vermouth

Add ingredients in a mixing glass over ice, stir, and strain into chilled martini glasses. Garnish with olives.

  1. Flamingo Rosato


  • 2 ounces pink grapefruit juice
  • 1 ounce pink gin
  • Tonic water
  • 1 ounce Ramazzotti Aperitivo Rosato

Add all ingredients to a glass with ice and top with tonic water to taste. Stir, and add your choice of garnish.

  1. Rosato Fresco


  • 3 ounces tonic water
  • 1.5 oz of Ramazzotti Aperitivo Rosato
  • 2 slices of grapefruit
  • 0.5 ounces of vodka

Pour the Aperitivo Rosato and vodka over ice, then splash tonic water to taste. Stir, and garnish with grapefruit slices.

  1. Anisette Mojito


  • 2 ounces of Anisette
  • 1 ounce grapefruit juice
  • 0.5 ounces simple syrup 
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 8 Leaves of fresh mint

Lightly shake mint and anisette together in a glass. Add the fruit juices and simple syrup. Shake and strain over ice, and garnish with a lime wedge or another mint leaf.

Easy Thanksgiving Cocktails: After the Big Meal

Known as digestifs, after dinner cocktails are served to aid in digestion and sip for post-meal conversations. The best part of these easy cocktails is that they aren’t made with precise measurements; no muss, no fuss after dinner. How awesome is that?

  1. Classic Grasshopper


  • Equal parts of fresh cream, creme de menthe, and creme de cacao

Simply shake all ingredients together with ice, and strain into a glass.

  1. Espresso Martini


  • 1 part each of fresh coffee and coffee liquor to 2 parts vodka
  • Ice

Shake the ingredients together, and strain into a glass

  1. Irish Coffee


  • Fresh brewed coffee made to taste
  • 1 teaspoon of brown sugar
  • 1 splash Irish Whiskey

Blend all ingredients in a mug and serve.

  1. Mint Chocolate Martini
  • 1 part each of vodka and creme de menthe to 2 parts chocolate liqueur

Shake ingredients together and strain into a glass
